Easton Fire House Study Committee to Hold Public Hearing
The recently appointed Easton Fire House Study Committee will conduct a public hearing on Thursday, May 5, 2011 at 7:00 pm at the Olmsted/Richardson Cafeteria, 101 Lothrop St., N. Easton.
Its primary and limited mission is to report back to the Board of Selectmen after studying whether there should be three or two fire houses, if two then which two, appropriate staffing patterns, and the ideal locations of town fire houses.
The three members of this committee are Steve Merlin, Chair; Keith Graveline, Vice Chair; and Board of Selectmen representative, Sean Noonan, Secretary. The committee is expecting a large turnout for the public hearing on Thursday, May 5. Committee members look forward to hearing from the citizens of the town and consider their input most important in its analysis and necessary as it fulfills its charge. The Fire House Study Committee will also meet at 8:45 am on Friday, May 6 in the Selectmen’s Meeting Room, 136 Elm St., N. Easton.
