11th Plymouth District Democratic Candidates to Debate on Easton Television

Tune into ECAT on August 28th at 7 p.m. to see where the candidates stand.

 

With just a few weeks to go until the Sept. 6 state primary, the 11th Plymouth District State Rep candidates are making a final pitch to voters.

The Democratic candidates will square off in a live debate  Easton Community Access Television (Comcast Channel 9 and Verizon FIOS 22) beginning at 7 p.m. Tuesday. It will re-air on Patch and ECAT's website in the following days.

The four candidates fighting for the Democratic nomination are Easton resident Claire Cronin, Southeastern Regional School Committee Chair Mark Linde, and Brockton City Councilors Jass Stewart and Robert Sullivan.

The winner will face Easton Selectman Dan Murphy in a general election. Murphy is running unopposed for the Republican nomination.

The 11th Plymouth District is  made up of Precincts 1-5 in Easton and all of Ward 1, Ward 3-D, Ward 7-C and 7-D in Brockton.

The debate is co-sponsored by ECAT, Easton Patch and the Easton Journal. Easton Patch Editor Patrick Maguire and Easton Journal Editor Donna Whitehead will co-moderate the debate. Topics will include Easton jobs, the Southcoast Rail, local education, Easton development, and much more.
