22-Year Old Easton Woman Dies in Overnight Accident

Easton is mourning the loss of Alexandra Hamilton, the daughter of an Easton police officer Steven Hamilton.

Easton is mourning the loss of one of its own today.

Alexandra Hamilton, 22, of Easton passed away at Brigham and Women's hospital Friday from injuries sustained during an overnight accident on Turnpike Street.

Hamilton, the daughter of Easton Police Officer Steven Hamilton, was traveling northbound on Turnpike when she struck a diesel fuel truck traveling in the southbound lane, Police Chief Allen Krajcik said.

Hamilton was a 2009 graduate of Oliver Ames High School.

"She was a hostess at the Stoneforge and just a bright, wonderful girl," Krajcik said. "She was always smiling and always positive."

I don't know your daughter or anyone in your family but I was out of Town with my daughter when she read about the accident online and it immediately made me feel sick. I started to say a prayer right away for your loss. Your Town like ours, Stoughton has now been hit a second time in a short period with the loss of a child. We suffered the little Lutz girl getting hit by a car, then the tragedy with David Wade in the accidental shooting, then Jake Hoffman, dying at UMASS in his senior year from smoke in a fire. Our Town has suffered together and cried together and we are crying for you too. You lost a great kid from your Oliver Ames Wrestling team and now this young girl. Please know that many, many people are praying for your family and your town.
Theresa
