Why are there people serving on Easton committees who are NOT Easton residents?

@Jimmy Donnelly - both your messages/postings from the article above, and a similar article that ran last week when you posted a similar type of message, are being well received. A lot of us feel that way. Try running for a position yourself. There are many people in Easton serving in various capacities, and you are correct to point out, that they are not Easton residents nor Easton taxpayers. Nor are they OA-Oliver Ames High School graduates/alumni, either. What they are however doing, is trying to "run" the town....or as some people have expressed, "ruin" the town. They collect: an attractive salary, an attractive benefit package including health insurance, and they will be collecting an attractive pension upon retirement.
