Today at noon, Book Drive - accepting Books, CDs, DVDs - Drop off at your convenience! Book Donation bin at: St. Mark's Church, 91 Center Street (corner of Columbus)
2. Art Adventures at the Children's Museum in Easton
Come by The Children’s Museum in Easton every Thursday from 9:30 am to 11 am to enjoy the Art Adventures program! Children will be able to explore various art mediums as they are introduced to the colorful and creative world of art. They will become young artists as the learn how to make their own special masterpieces that they can take home! Art Adventures does not require registration and is free with paid admission to the museum.
3. 2nd Annual Art Appreciation Night at Southeastern Regional
Come to Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical High School's 2nd Annual Arts Appreciation Night in the school Cafetorium. An original play, "Alias", which was co-written and co-directed by high school students Courtney LaFrance of Stoughton and Nick York of Norton. Miss LaFrance summarizes the play as follows:“Ruby Wolf’s family was killed by two girls, one of which accidently killed herself while escaping the crime. The now deceased killer takes over the body of the other killer in order to murder Ruby.”
The evening will also include robotics exhibits, student presentations, Gold Key Award winning photography, illustration, painting, 3-D work, graphic design, web design, hand drawn flip book animation, Performing Arts video and live musical performance. Culinary Arts students will bake and sell a sampling of their delicious, fresh pastries. The Design and Visual Communications Honors Society, in conjunction with the Innovation Academy, will sell buttons to benefit Heifer International, an organization that “helps individuals to support themselves through education about animal care and business management in order to have a lasting impact on them, their families and their communities”.
