5 Things March 15 in Easton: Habitat For Humanity Shovel Shuffle
Happy Friday, Easton!
1. Easton Shovel Shuffle for Habitat For Humanity
The Easton chapter of Habitat for Humanity is in the process of raising the funds necessary to build a Habitat House on Highland Street. As part of our fundraising and outreach initiative, the Easton Local Partnership Committee (LPC) is launching its first major fundraiser. The “Shovel Shuffle” is an innovative, easy and fun way to assist Habitat in its mission of providing a simple, decent, affordable place for a selected family to call home. As important, advertisement of your business will travel with the shovel to show your support and partnership with Habitat for the selected family in need.
2. St. Patrick's Week at the Children's Museum in Easton
Join us as we celebrate a week of St. Patrick’s Day themed activities! The green theme will encompass the week as we celebrate the Irish. Come enjoy activities such as Gaelic crafts, exploding rainbows, Irish food, and a search for a pot o’ gold! Lads and Lassies who show off their Irish pride in green clothing will receive a lucky treasure from the front desk.
We will also be having special Irish additions of our weekly class, ABCs of Science from 10am-10:45am.
3. Let's Give Michael a Lift Fundraiser Set for Next Week
Michael is a twelve year old boy who lives in Easton and suffers from cerebral palsy with quadriplegia and seizure disorder. This birth defect requires Michael to have a special track system for his house that is not covered by insurance. Please join us, the friends and family of Michael for a fun filled night to help raise money so Michael can get his lift. We will have a dj, karaoke, food, a 50/50 as well as prizes, raffles and a silent auction.
