Best of Patch: Eastonites Choose Maguire's For Their Sandwich

Maguire's Bar and Grill was voted Best Place to Order a Sandwich

There is plenty of competition, but when it comes to sandwiches, Eastonites think Maguire's tops all.

Maguire's Bar and Grill beat out 22 other restaurants, sub shops and cafes to win Patch's "Best Place to Order a Sandwich" this week.

Maguire's owner and chef Neil Levine said he is proud of the restaurant's sandwich collection.

"We have about a dozen assorted sandwiches on our menu," he said. "We also run a daily sandwich special and a soup and sandwich combination.  They run the gamut form the Smoked Texas BBQ Brisket with Crunchy Onion Strings to the Honey Dijon Salmon Wrap.

"My favorite is the Classic Turkey Club.  You can not beat this sandwich. Fresh roasted Turkey combined with hickory smoked bacon a little mayonnaise, lettuce and tomato, triple layered on some toasted bread.  It's simple, delicious and satisfying.  It could be the best sandwich God ever created"

There was a tight race for runner up, with Andrew's Bakery coming in second and Soups on Center coming in third.

If your favorite restaurant didn't win this week, there will be plenty of opportunities for Easton's eating establishments to win a "Best of Patch" award.

Next week, we'll see who runs the best women's hair salon in town!
