Gov. Deval Patrick had this to say on the earthquake.

"Many Massachusetts residents felt the effects of an earthquake tonight," he said. "According to MEMA, which is monitoring events and has briefed me, the quake was centered some 30 miles outside of Portland, Maine. So far, we have no reports of injury or damage in Massachusetts. MEMA will continue to monitor the situation closely. Residents should use caution if they encounter any damage and take a minute to check in on neighbors, family and friends."

Norton, MA about 7:15pm. Heard a boom and then the whole house rocked. Thought it was airplane since the Mansfield Airport is only 1ml behind the house.

Yes, here in Sharon only for a few seconds, however obvious it was an earthquake!

Let's hope we have no other shakes, rattle and rolls as We have enough with the Presidential debate and this perpetuation of a blatent lie re this "Benghazi terrorist attack" and if the Secretary of State wants to take the fall for the WH, Ms. Hillary who prostituted herself in compromising her own integrity by perpetuating this lie just as the Commander in Chief and from at least my perspective, another finger point effort to distract from a do nothing four year administration and a despicable act which at least from my perspective a -- breach of faith -- and nothing less than - treason - whether anyone else agrees -

Unlike the "Chicago-Hollywood-Washington Express" which leans over and - whispers - to the "KGB Putinites" I say with much emphasis,

-- Treason I Shout and Shame on You I say -

Frederick Douglass stated:

"I prefer to be true to myself, even at the hazard of incurring ridicule of others, rather than to be false, and to incur my own abhorrence" -

We felt it on Erin Lane. Kind of a rumble, 3 or 4 seconds, and the dishes in the kitchen cabinets shook.

I was in my kitchen and the entire house shook. I could hear things rattling in the other rooms. My husband and son were in the basement and didn't feel a thing. I live near Wards Berry Farm.

I was sitting at my computer at home and the desk, laptop and items on my bureau were shaking. I thought it was an earthquake but I wasn't sure at the time because I live in Attleboro and the train tracks are nearby and I thought that it could have been an Acela train going by. About 20 minutes later I turned on WCVB-TV Channel 5 and they had breaking news coverage of the earthquake. I guess I was shaken but not stirred.

I thought the same thing because I live an 8th of a mile from tracks and hear them all the time. And they shake our house everytime they go by but then I listened and didn't hear ot at all. One of my facebook friends posted on my post asking if anyone else in my town of Attleboro felt something too and my friend told me that there was an earthquake in Maine. I can't believe living so far away we were able to feel it like we did. My two sisters live in Wells Me and they posted about it too. I guess it was pretty intense the closer you get to it.

We were on the second floor of the Sharon Community Center and felt the rumble and the building sway. It went on long enough for people to observe, comment and continued to rumble for a few more seconds - maybe 10-15 seconds total.

I was in a floral design class at massHort Wellesley. We heard movement in the right wall where we were seated. I thought it was chipmunks running thru the wall. But the other ladies said they saw the picture and chairs move.
