Car Fire Extends to Garage on Kathleen Grant Way

The Easton Fire Department responded to a fire that caused extensive damage Wednesday afternoon.

There were no injuries, but extensive damage was caused as a result of a car fire at 51 Kathleen Grant Way Wednesday afternoon.

The Easton Fire Department rushed to the scene at approximately 12:30 p.m., Easton Fire Chief Kevin Partridge said. Five minutes after arrival, the fire was put down.

"They did an excellent job," Partridge said.

Partridge said a car caught fire and it extended to the garage. Soot extended to the house and the chief's estimated cost of damage was $150,000.

Easton's fire department received assistance from Norton, Mansfield and Stoughton.
