Despite Strong Performances, OA Swim Teams Drop Meet to KP

OA had some individual accomplishments, but weren't able to overcome the Warriors

 

Despite the strong individual performances put forth by some Tigers, the Oliver Ames boys' and girls swim teams dropped their meets against King Philip Wednesday night.

The boys fell to the warriors, 101-62 and the girls fell 95-70.

On the girls side, Haley Gula qualified in 100 Breaststroke for States and Jacquey Gover qualifies for states in diving.

Susan Donahue dropped 11.42 seconds in 200 free stroke and Kelsey Brown dropped 2.66 seconds in 200 IM.

Additionally, Krista Ruggeriero dropped 1.86 seconds in the 50 freestyle. Jessica Cheng dropped 1.45 in the 50 free and Shannon Tarpey Dropped 2.36 seconds in 100 butterfly. Sabrina Foote dropped .64 seconds in the 500 freestyle.

For the boys, Chris Lockwood dropped 3.10 seconds in 100 breaststroke.

Head Coach Lauren Gray said Parker Brooks was a surprise with a 1:25 in the 100 breaststroke.

Thomas Dew named MVP of the meet for his swim in the 500 freestyle and Sam Graff dropped .84 seconds in 100 freestyle.

The Tigers clash with Mansfield January 4.
