Easton Fire Chief: Restoration Could Take Time
Restoration of power could take up to 72 hours from the end of the storm.
Easton Fire Chief Kevin Partridge said residents without power may be looking at a few days in the dark.
"National Grid is at a phase five storm response and restoration of power could take up to 72 hours from the end of the storm which will be later today," he told Patch at 11:30 a.m. Saturday. "National Grid is not giving any specific timeline on when certain street will be restored."
The Emergency Management Team is opening a warming shelter at the Olmsted-Richardson school beginning at 1 p.m. for those who need it. Residents should call 508-230-3323 for information or transportation.
In the mean-time, residents need to be patient, Partridge said.
"Residents need to be patient and understand they could be several days without power," he said.
