Easton Man Dies in Bridgewater Motorcycle Accident

An East Bridgewater man has been charged after hitting an Easton man on a motorcycle in Bridgewater.

The driver of a fuel truck that killed an Easton motorcyclist in Bridgewater has been charged according to WCVB.

Matthew A. Beaucaire, 27, of East Bridgewater, was arrested and charged with driving without an interlock device, driving without a license and failure to yield.

On the morning of June 22, the truck struck Robert F. Gallagher after the truck driving south hit the motorcycle heading east.

After being found pinned under the truck, Gallagher was pronounced dead at the scene.

An interlock device is installed in a vehicle when a person who owns, rents, or operates a car has lost their license for drunk driving. The device works like a breathalyzer and prevents the car from starting if the operator is drunk.

Bridgewater Police declined to comment on Beaucaire's driving record as the investigation is ongoing.
