Easton Obituary: Veteran, Former Easton Public Schools Custodian and Longtime Easton Resident Manuel Paulino

Remembering Manuel Paulino

 

Manuel Paulino lived in Easton for 70 years. He was a World War II Veteran, member of Easton's VFW, and a custodian at Easton Public Schools. Below is his full obituary from Kane Funeral Home:

Manuel Paulino, 92, a resident of Easton for the past 70 years, died Friday at New England Sinai Hospital in Stoughton after a period of failing health. He was the husband of Belmira C. (Vieira) Paulino.

Born in Cambridge on January 29, 1921, a son of the late Manuel and Lucilia (Silva) Paulino, he was was raised and educated in Taunton and Stoughton. A veteran of WWII, he served as a Staff Sergeant in the US Army, Company B 53d Signal Battalion.

He began working as a buffer for Plymouth Rubber Company in Canton and after he became a Transportation Driver for Adley Express Company of Cambridge for 25 years. After his retirement, he worked as a custodian for the Easton Public School System.

A longtime member of the VFW Post 2547 in Easton, his hobbies included gardening and birdwatching. He also enjoyed traveling.

Manuel is survived by a son, Peter M. Paulino of NY,NY.; a daughter, Caroline Paulino of Easton; and three sisters, Rosemary Silva and Dolores Silva both of Wind Gap, PA., and Lucile Kilmer of Guthrie, OK;
