Easton Police Officers Hand Deliver Christmas Cards to Child With Cancer

Easton Police also donated $500 to Nathan Norman of Virginia

Information provided by the Easton Police Department:

The Easton Police Association, a nonprofit charitable organization within the Easton Police Department, has sent two full time officers to Virginia in order to make a Christmas wish come true for a six year old boy that has cancer.

Sergeant Keith Nunes and Officer Steve Hamilton will be en route to Rustburg Virginia Wednesday morning and returning Thursday evening.

The story came to the department via email from the Virginia State Police requesting agencies to read Nathan’s story and send him a Christmas card.

Agencies from Massachusetts and New Hampshire wanted to do more for this youngster so police officers organized and came up with a plan to hand deliver the Christmas cards directly to him. Nearly 300 Officers from 75 agencies are making the trip to Virginia. It is both exciting and humbling to have the opportunity to meet Nathan and make his Christmas wish come true.

The Easton Police Association made a donation to the Nathan Norman Trust Fund in the amount of $500. Toys and other gifts were donated by area businesses and are in route to Virginia to be given to Nathan and his family.
