Here are five things to know in the Easton sporting world during the holiday season.

1. The defending state champion Oliver Ames girls basketball team will take their 2-1 record to the hardwood starting Tuesday when they host Plymouth South in the Sue Rivard Holiday Tournament at the Nixon Gymnasium at 7:30 p.m. The Lady Tigers will play either Bridgewater-Raynham or LaSalle on Wednesday in either the consolation game or the championship game. Tipoff is at 4 p.m.

2. The Oliver Ames boys basketball team will also host a couple of games in another holiday tournament at the Nixon Gymnasium. They hit the floor against Prout High School on Tuesday and will face either Dartmouth or Wellesley on Thursday.

3. The Easton Recreation Basketball League will be hosting the annual Muscato Holiday Tournament beginning on Sunday. Check out eastonbasketball.com for more information.

4. Yardley Rink will be open to the public during the holiday season. The rink is located right next to Center School. The Rink is located on 388 Depot Street.

5. The Oliver Ames wrestling team will be competing in the Marshfield tournament Tuesday and Wednesday.
