Emergency Officials Respond to Three Motor Vehicle Accidents Early Tuesday
Three serious accidents, including a MedFlight call, kept emergency officials busy through early morning hours.
Three motor vehicle accidents, all resulting in serious injuries occurred during the early morning hours of Tuesday.
"Our midnight shift had an exceptionally busy night," Police Chief Allen Krajcik said.
At 12:30 a.m., emergency officials responded to a call regarding a motor vehicle accident at Langwater Pond. Abington resident Jared Klapman struck a tree. Upon arrival, Klapman was reportedly unresponsive.
A helicopter, which landed on the Stonehill Campus, transported him to Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston for treatment.
Approximately a half hour later, at 1 a.m., officials responded to another accident on Depot Street involving serious injuries. A Georgia resident, Jermain Herman, had struck a pole. He was treated for serious injuries and transported to Good Samaritan Medical Center.
At 7:15 a.m., officials responded to a third accident, also on Depot Street. Officials arrived to find a two-car motor vehicle accident. Both drivers were transported to the hospital.
