1. Mansion Tour: The Ameses & Women's Rights

Where/When: Borderland State Park/Friday 3:30 p.m.

Why Go: A 30 minute guided tour exploring Oakes and Blanche Ames’s involvement in the struggle for women’s rights. View some of her suffrage artwork and political cartoons. First floor only. For adults and older children. Meet in front of the mansion. Rain or shine.

2. OA Football at Medfield

Where/When: Medfield High School/ 7 p.m. Friday

Why Go: The OA football season kicks off Friday night when the Tigers travel to Medfield High School. OA coach Jim Artz will look to start the season with a win. For a full preview, click here.

3. Easton Lions Grange Thrift Shop/ Annex

Where/When: Easton Lions Grange next to Union Villa and Covenant Congregational Church/ Saturday 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Why Go?: Our listed prices are only suggestions and we stand ready to dicker, if it's your pleasure. Many fold don't bother to haggle, knowing that the proceeds benefit the Lions' many great causes

4. Bruins’ Stanley Cup Hero Dennis Seidenberg to Appear at Crescent Credit Union

Where/When: Crescent Credit Union, Brockton/ Saturday 10 a.m.

Why Go: The event is open to the public. Parents are encouraged to bring their children to meet Seidenberg and get an autograph. The Credit Union will also offer free face painting for the kids, goodies and giveaways, and a drawing for Bruins tickets, a flat screen TV and other great prizes.

5. Interfaith Clergy Association 10th Anniversary Remembrance of 9/11 Attacks

Where/When: Oliver Ames High School/ Sunday 2 p.m.

Why Go?: You are invited to bring flowers, photos, and mementos of those who died in the attacks to place on a communal altar during the service.  Names of those from our community who died in the attacks or in the rescue efforts will be read.
