How Would You Spend Your Last Day in Your Town?
With the countdown to the Mayan apocalypse underway, we're asking - how would you spend your last day?
We're pretty sure that the world isn't going to end on Friday, Dec. 21. And we're not the only ones. NASA has also explained why the long-debated "Mayan 2012 Doomsday" won't happen.
But with all this hubbub over the Mayan 2012 prophecy, we have to ask: How would you spend your last day in your town, if you knew the world was coming to an end?
Before you answer, we'd like you to pretend that despite the looming apocalypse, all of the area's restaurants and hot spots remained open for business and the roads out of town were blocked off.
Would you stay at home with your family?
Would you head out one last time to order your favorite meal at a local restaurant?
Would you catch the last performance of your favorite local band?

Any idea what time this will take place? Once I know how much time I have left I can make plans. On second thought, at my age I'll probably forget about it. Then again, by the time I find my teeth, put them in and go to the john, it may be over already (I don't "move" to fast). What day is it today?

One thing I do find interesting is how many people believe in ancient calendars, prophecies etc. The amazing balance of our planet could be thrown at any minute of any day by any factor and we would never even know it would happen, life would end within a split second not a long drawn out countdown. That being said, I'd steal a Ferrari and drive it 200 mph off a cliff, end on my own terms.

Not at all happy with what I am hearing from several SHS students. It seems that there is only 1 bathroom open and available for students since September. That bathroom is located in B 1st. All of the other bathrooms are CLOSED and LOCKED at all times. Rumor is that students would smoke in other bathrooms so the school decided to lock and close all bathrooms except in B1st. With over 1,000 students this is unacceptable! A student also vomited in the hallway today. If a bathroom was open and accessible, this may not have occurred. Is this how our children should be treated?

I think you got the wrong thread lady..lol....But as a former SHS student..in my time...there was a smoking area in front of the gym...open campus.....Lav one and three were used for smoking as well as the links between classes for a quick drag.....The football players would hold the Lav door in case a teacher decided to be daring and TRY to go into the lav and if there wasn't anyone holding the door...you had better have said "It's ok" as you walked through that door....Puking in the hallway was a common thing and no one freaked out....we just got our beloved janitor to come on down and clean it up......Guess things have changed in the high school since the late 70's,,,,loh ya...and we NEVER lost to OA on Thanksgiving..

OMG......I would walk my dog ON THE BEACH..and NOT pick up after it........while smoking weed........feeding the geese AND Running with sharp scissors.....I'll then go to the library and make NOISE...... and then I'm going uptown and park in the spot that says "For paster only!!" I'm going to then find that portable speed RADAR thing on wheels...and see how fast I can get as I go bye it!......and then..i'm gonna find those 2 clowns who park themselves in front of the post office with the sigh that depicts Obama as Hitler..and I'm gonna teach them a thing or 2 amount my freedom of speech.....and finally...when that is all done with I'm gonna go play near the train tracks!!!..well not finally....but y'all can use you imagination on that one....lol...
