Investigation Leads to Easton Man's Arrest For Breaking and Entering and Unarmed Assault
Steven Giouard of Easton was arrested last week.
An Easton man was arrested last week for receiving stolen property, breaking and entering a dwelling home in the daytime and unarmed assault while committing a felony, Police Chief Allen Krajcik said this week.
Steven Giouard, 25, of 199 Depot Street was taken into custody after he allegedly broke into a neighbor's house, Krajcik said.
The break-in occurred Tuesday, July 24 on Depot Street. Police responded at approximately 6:30 p.m. after a resident arrived home to allegedly find Giouard in the house.
"The homeowners had left their home for a short time and when the returned Girouard was inside and had stolen several items," Krajcik said. "He ran out and allegedly assaulted one of the homeowners as he left."
An investigation led to Giouard's arrest on Thursday, July 26 at 10:30 a.m. He was later transported to the New Bedford House of Correction.
