Man Arrested for Identity Fraud, Larceny
Easton Police arrested a West Bridgewater man after a lengthy investigation this week.
A lengthy investigation led to the arrest of a West Bridgewater man this week.
Nicholas Laghetto, 26, of 216 Spring Street in West Bridgewater is being charged with identity fraud, credit card fraud and larceny. Easton Police and the US Secret Service assisted in the investigation.
Laghetto had been staying with relatives at 23 Hilltop Street, where police executed a search warrant to recover numerous stolen electronics, including laptop computers and tablets, Easton Police Chief Allen Krajcik said.
"Easton Police had received information that someone from the South Easton address had been using a computer to make fraudulent purchases and to apply for credit cards using stolen identities," Krajcik said. "The victim, who reported this to police is a fraud investigator that had previously investigated a case involving Laghetto."
Krajcik said Laghetto was out on bail after being arrested for the same offense in West Bridgewater.
"Laghetto was not present when the search warrant was issued and an arrest warrant was sought," Krajcik said. "He was later arrested by West Bridgewater Police and is presently being held for a bail hearing."
Easton Det. Sgt. Michael Fox and Det. Darren Mangott led the investigation, Krajcik said.

Here's another fraud everyone should be aware of - the Amway Tool Scam. Google "Stop The Amway Tool Scam Wordpress" for more information, and forward this information to every non-Distributor/IBO you know, so they don't get ripped off.

Thank you Easton, W. Bridgewater PD and wow the US S.S. for busting this jerk! Only a complete scumbag would do what this guy has done, and we are much safer now that he is in jail. Hopefully he will serve a long enough sentence that we wont have to worry about him again..

This guy was arrested in Florida for stealing cars too. I went to summer camp with him when I was younger and he was thrown out for suggesting the last day of camp would be like columbine.
