When the Sharon High football team travels to Oliver Ames' Muscato Stadium to play the Tigers in a 10 a.m. start Thanksgiving Day, the Eagles will have already made history.

Now, the Tigers are going to prevent them from going undefeated in league play.

The Eagles (8-2 overall, 3-0 league) are the Hockomock League's Davenport Division champions and will be playing Pembroke in the playoffs Dec. 4. It is the first postseason experience for Sharon.

With a win over the Tigers (5-5 overall, 0-3 in the league), the Eagles will wrap up an unbeaten season in the division.

OA is 3-1 at Muscato Stadium this year.

A year ago, it was Oliver Ames with the playoffs in site on Thanksgiving Day, but the Tigers will be looking to upset the Eagles Thanksgiving Day to get their first Davenport win.

Thanksgiving has been kind to the Tigers over the years with Oliver Ames holding a 31-11 lead in the series, not losing a game to the Eagles since 2003. It's Sharon only win in the 21st century.

The Eagles started off the rivalry as top dogs in 1970, winning the three first games of the series.
