Question of the Day: NBA Lockout

Are you worried about losing the entire NBA season?

 

We'll be asking Easton Patch readers a different question every weekday. Questions could range from local decisions made by officials, to state issues, to national politics and entertainment. Whatever it is, we want to know what EASTON thinks!

Yesterday, NBA Commissioner David Stern annnounced that the first two weeks of the season would be canceled as a result of ongoing labor negotiations between basektball players and owners.

While the announcement isn't a surprise, it is another sign that there may not be an NBA season at all this year.

They should cancel the season. The owners and players would be shocked to see how little people would actually care. It's just a game.

Actually, a lot of people care. (I'mnot one of them.) The NBA has millions of fans. People who earn their livings from the NBA are going to be hurt by this. Players may be overpaid by our standards, but they bring in a lot of money that supports a lot of people. Any job loss is a bad thing.

I am hoping the season is cancelled. I hate it when sports interrupt my tv shows. Especially when I set the dvr and find out it recorded sports instead of my show which was on hours later but wasn't changed in the guide...

When the NHL cancelled the 04/05 season, very few people protested. Even the players union crumbled and avid fans didnt seem to miss it all that much. We're talking about games, nothing important.
