Stage Set for Annual Town Election
A four-person selectmen race highlights the ballot.
The stage is set for this spring's Annual Town Election.
Last week, Town Clerk Jeremy Gillis released the ballot for the April 30th event, which is scheduled at Oliver Ames High School the same day as the state's special election primary.
Highlighting the election is a four-person selectmen race.
With Selectmen Sean Noonan and Ellen Barlow leaving the board, two spots are available for the four contending candidates.
Finance Committee Chair Carol Nestler, Planning Board member Dan Smith, local lawyer Michael Maloney and 40B activist Dotti Fulginiti are all vying for the two seats.
Michael McKenna is running for the one available Board of Assessors spot.
William Anderson and Robert Maclennan are squaring off for one spot on the Board of Health.
Thomas Downey running for one spot on the Housing Authority unopposed.
For two spots on the School Committee, Donna Abelli is seeking re-election and current Finance Committee member Frederick Isleib is seeking to join the school board.
Elaine Hanson is running for the Finance Committee, leaving two open spots available for write-ins.
