5. The Easton Assessors’ Office is in the process of doing cyclical inspections of Real Estate and Personal Property throughout the town. The inspections are being done over the next few weeks with inspectors going door-to-door throughout neighborhoods to do inspections of both the interior and exterior of residential, commercial and industrial properties. The Department of Revenue requires that every community re-inspect its real estate periodically. As a result, the Easton Board of Assessors inspects some of its property every year. In addition to meeting state requirements, the objective of this project is to assure the accuracy of the Town’s assessing data.
