1. The Toe Jam Puppet Band will be performing at the Ames Free Library today at 5:30 p.m. Dance piratey jigs with the Toe Jam crew like, ‘The Skull & Crossbones Square Dance,’ and a line dance called ‘Pirates Arrr Funky,’ where the kids become dancing Lobsters & Seagulls & even dancing Sharks.

4. The Easton Lions are holding their fundraising events this year at Gillette Stadium. This week on Friday Aug. 16 they will be at the Patriots vs. Bucs game at 8 p.m. Gillette Stadium offers non-profit clubs the opportunity to volunteer running the concession stands at selected events across the year, at their concession stands. In return the club can raise a lot of money! Ten people are needed per event.
