1. The Easton Food Pantry is holding its first annual food drive at Roche Brothers Plaza off of Washington Street, today, tomorrow, and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. The “Stuff the Truck” trailer will be parked at Roche Bros to accept non-perishable food donations.
2. Today is the first day of school for Kindergarteners. We hope you have a good 13-plus years in school! It goes by fast.
3. ICYMI: The Oliver Ames High School Cross Country teams did well in the 2013 Hockomock League Cross Country Jamboree at Borderland.
4. Today at Borderland, 259 Massapoag Ave., is the "Off the Beaten Path Hike," from 1 to 2:30 p.m. The hike explores less traveled trails each week in a three to four-mile recreational hike.
5. Also at Borderland today is a tour of the Ames rock garden from 3 to 3:30 p.m. The DCR and Friends of Borderland has been rehabilitating the garden, which is almost done, "so let's explore the gardens with the park interpreter." For adults and older children.
