School on Wheels Welcomes New Director of Development

School on Wheels would like to welcome our new Director of Development, Arlene Treacy Montgomery!

Arlene has an undergraduate degree in sociology from Stonehill College and a master’s degree in education from Wheelock College.  Arlene has worked in the field of development for over 20 years. She began her development career as a prospect researcher at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and soon after she went on to become Director of Development Operations for St. Elizabeth Medical Center. Years later, she served as the Director of Development & Communications for Fayerweather Street School in Cambridge. Before joining SOWMA, Arlene worked as the Director of Development for the Learning Center for the Deaf where she directed all development, marketing and public relations activity.

Arlene will be leading the development effort at School on Wheels, including grant writing, annual giving, donor cultivation, capital campaigns, galas, fundraising events, as well as designing and writing marketing materials, brochures and annual reports.
