The Sewing Room Open House

Sewing lessons are now being offered at The Sewing Room, a sewing school owned by Lauren Schmidt, a local seamstress. The Sewing Room, located at 1182 South Main Street Unit 2 in Attleboro, MA. will be holding an open house and class enrollment on August 24, from 10am to 1pm. All are welcomed to visit the classroom, learn about the classes offered and class registration for the soon approching Fall 2013 school year.

Classes begin in September and offer students ages 8 to adult all the tools and skills they need to complete multiple handmade projects in class. Students will learn all the techniques from basic sewing to fashion design. Class sizes are small to ensure optimal one-on-one instruction throughout the course. In June, students put on a fashion show showcasing their talents for friends and family.

The Sewing Room uses the Kids Can Sew & Fashion Design Program for all students. This program has workbooks for each age group including adults with multiple levels of difficulty. There are numerous patterns in each level with instructions that are easy to understand, especially for younger students. Students will choose their own fabrics and accessories to make the projects outlined in the workbooks and receive help and demonstration from The Sewing Room Instructor / Owner.
