1. YMCA Open House

Today at 4 p.m. at the Y, there’s a little something for everyone and a lot for your community.

Not yet a Y Member? Stop in on Monday, Jan. 7 from 4-8 p.m. and let us surprise you!

Our fitness coaches will be available to discuss your goals and help you get started on the right path! Can't make it during our scheduled open house? Feel free to drop in any time and we'll help you get started on your new year's resolutions!

2. Residents pull nomination papers for Board of Selectmen

This is the first week that residents can pull nomination papers for elected office.

On Wednesday and Thursday, Dorothy Fulginiti and Daniel Smith both pulled nomination papers for a three-year position on the Board of Selectmen. We'll be sure to keep you updated on whether or not others are thinking of throwing their hats in the ring.

3. Pajama Story Time at the Ames Free Library

Tonight at 6:30 p.m., wear your pajamas and bring along a favorite blanket or stuffed animal friend. Stories are geared for ages 3 and up. All are welcome with a caregiver.
