Easton Ranked One of Safest Communities in Mass.

Easton was ranked No. 45 on a recent list of the 50 safest communities in Massachusetts.
The Safewise.com list, released last week, highlighted Easton's low crime rate and commitment to sustainability. Safewise is a home security review resource.
Sudbury earned the top spot on the list.
"Focusing on sustainability, Easton is designated as a Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources Green Community and recently celebrated the completion of a 1.9 Megawatt ground-mounted solar landfill. " the report found. To date, Easton has identified more than 4,000 acres as conservation land and it also boasts an amazing farmers market. When rainy days damp outdoor pursuits, it’s the ideal time for a visit to Easton’s Children’s Museum where you’ll find an exciting collection of educational, cultural and social activities for your little ones.
Safewise.com reported the following statistics for Easton:
- Violent crimes per 1,000 residents: 1.33
- Property crimes per 1,000 residents: 11.10
