Grab 'n' Go Kids' Planner - October

A look at kid-friendly events around Easton this month.

If you are looking for a few kid-friendly places and activities, then you have clicked on the right link. We’ve assembled a monthly calendar with some ideas to keep the kids and the family busy with fun.

We understand that your time is limited, so we have tackled the research for you. Check back on the first Wednesday of each month for a list of events and activities for the entire family to enjoy locally or within reasonable driving distance.

Why Go?: Like always, the Children's Museum will have plenty to offer this month, but October is a special month for the museum. In addition to it's Play Fore Kids Golf Tournament Fundraiser on Oct. 10, the museum will host its Halloween Romp on Oct. 22 from 2 - 4 p.m. The romp is just before Halloween week at the museum (Oct. 25- Oct. 30). Halloween week will feature a different art and science project each day.

There will also be daily events this month. tuesdays will be Animal happenings. Wednesday and Thursday will be Exploring Music. Wednesday will be Space Explorers and Friday will be Art Adventures. For a complete list, click here.

Why Go?: Summer may be over, but Maplewood isn't shutting its doors anytime soon.

The camp offers a variety of classes for kids during the school year, including KidsTrack and Fit 'n' Fun Kids. There is also a preschool program from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. two days, three days or five days a week.

Why Go?: In addition to the regular story times on Thursday mornings, and Mornings with Mother Goose on Wednesday mornings, the library will have plenty to offer for kids in October. 

There will be a Children's Open Mic Comedy Night with Leo Landry on Saturday Oct. 8. On Oct. 17, the library's chapter book club will meet and on Oct. 25, there will be a Halloween Magic Show.


Why Go?: On Every Tuesday and Wednesday, the Village Toy Shop on the corner of Main Street and Washington holds a Story time at 10:30 a.m. For more information, click here.
