Learn About Easton's Architecture Today at Ames Free Library

Hazy sun and muggy is the way WHDH-TV is describing today's weather. Temperatures are expected to be in the upper 80s with a late shower.

The following is a list of this week's projects for the North Easton Village Infrastructure Project from the Easton Department of Public Works. Here's the schedule through Friday: Crews will be installing water mains on Pond and Andrews Streets. During work hours, the streets may be closed to through traffic. Police details will be on sites to direct motorists through the work zones. Paving of the completed trench area is scheduled for Friday, weather permitting. 

The Ames Free Library will be presenting the "The Architecture of the Other Guys," Thursday, Aug. 22, at 9:30 a.m. Meet in the main library parking lot. For more information, call 508-238-2000. 

The Oliver Ames boys' and girls' soccer teams, field hockey, volleyball, cross-country and golf teams are starting preseason practice today.

Princesses and pirates will be taking over the Easton Children's Museum today. There will be a Princess Magic Show at 11 a.m. and a Pirate Magic Show at 1 p.m. For more information, go to the Easton Children's Museum.
