The first ever Easton Pumpkin Chunkin held by Pack 193 was held Saturday.

Submitted to Easton Patch by Easton Agricultural Commission Member Todd Sandstrum:

What a great turn out for Easton's first Pumpkin Chunkin held by Pack 193. Wheaton Farm was home to this event and the fall weather was perfect for flying pumpkins. The kids got to shoot pumpkins from an over sized slingshot as well as a spring driven catapult. The sling shot was firing mini gourds grown from local farm Flynn's just up the road. The lager pumpkins, for the catapult, were a mix of leftovers from the NRT's Harvest Fair and others from Flynn's as well. As pumpkins flew high into the clear, blue sky and smashed around the target area everyone was amazed at Pack 193's achievement. As the event falls fast on the heels of the South Shore Pumpkin Challenge wiegh off one asks will it be part of next year's Pumpkin Challenge?
