Wiffleball Tournament: School on Wheels of Massachusetts will be holding its first Wiffleball tournament to support the education of children in the community whose lives have been impacted by homelessness. Spend a fun day routing on local teams in both the fast and slow pitch divisions or the home run derby. This family-fun event will be held on Saturday, Aug. 17, Easton Youth Baseball Field, Militia Park, 186 Lincoln St. First pitch at 9 a.m.
Easton Lantern Parade: the Easton Lantern Parade returns this Saturday, Aug. 17, at 6 p.m. Residents are encouraged to bring their own decorated lanterns and join in the march that will begin at the Easton Historical Society (the old RR building) on Sullivan St. and end at the Ames Library. There will also be music, popcorn, soda and face painters!
Mansion Tour: The Ameses & Women's Rights: discover Oakes and Blanche Ames' involvement in the struggle for women's rights on this 30-minute guided tour on the first floor of the Ames Mansion within Borderland State Park. Yard Sale: the popular HGTV series 'Flee Market Flip' has inspired many "novice flippers" to transform yard sale finds into unique, one-of-a-kind pieces.
