Dr. Guy Spinelli Named Chair of Atrius Health Board of Trustees

Newton, Mass. August 14, 2013 — Atrius Health, an alliance of six non-profit medical groups and a home health and hospice agency, announced that Dr. Guy Spinelli was elected Chairman of its Board of Trustees. Spinelli is currently President of Granite Medical Group, an affiliate of Atrius Health, and will continue in this role.

Spinelli, who is board certified in internal medicine, has been a practicing primary care physician for the past 30 years. He will continue his clinical practice at Granite Medical Group. Spinelli was instrumental in bringing Granite Medical Group into the Atrius Health alliance in 2005, and led the Quincy-based medical group to achieve consistently excellent quality and financial performance. Spinelli has served as trustee and chairman of the board at Granite Medical Group for seven years.

Spinelli is a graduate of Universita di Roma, La Sapienza in Italy. He completed his internship and residency at Carney Hospital. He is a resident of South Easton, Mass.
