Many psychologists believe that children today are experiencing more stress than previous generations, yet do not have the skills to deal with stress in a healthy way. We will look at childhood stress from a public health perspective, why stress becomes chronic, and will review various traditional and newer science-based skills and techniques that children can learn to help them deal with stress in a healthy way.
