The Easton Chamber of Commerce will celebrate their tenth annual Business Appreciation Night on Thursday, January 30, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. This event will be held at the Easton Country Club and is open to all members of the Easton business community. The evening will feature the presentation of two awards: the 2013 Outstanding Business Citizen Award and the 2013 Community Service Scholarship. The first award is given to a local business person in recognition of their outstanding support of the Easton community and its citizens. Selection is based upon overall community support in the areas of financial contributions, employee volunteerism, sponsorship and community leadership. Chamber of Commerce membership is not required for nomination. The second award is a $750 scholarship given to a high school senior whose community service efforts have positively impacted the local community and its residents. The applicant must reside in Easton.
