Old Colony Elder Services offers "It's About Time" Workshop for Caregivers on November 14th

Old Colony Elder Services (OCES), a private non-profit agency designated as an Aging Services Access Point (ASAP) serving older adults and individuals with disabilities throughout the Greater Brockton and Plymouth County areas is holding a free workshop “It’s About Time” for family caregivers of older adults at the Plymouth Council on Aging, 44 Nook Road, Plymouth on Thursday, November 14th from 11:00am to 2:00pm.

 The “It’s About Time” workshop will teach caregivers strategies for managing time more efficiently and reducing stress.  Topics to be covered are:

·   Meal preparation

 “Maintaining physical and emotional health is important for a caregiver.  The “It’s About Time” workshop will offer techniques to help alleviate the stress that comes with taking care of a loved one,” said Diana DiGiorgi, Executive Director of OCES.

The workshop is offered in partnership with the Plymouth Council on Aging. OCES received a grant from the Tufts Health Plan Foundation to fund this workshop.

Attendees will receive lunch and a companion book at no charge.   Raffle items will also be available. Pre-registration is required as class size is limited; contact Rochelle Sugarman, Family Caregiver Program Specialist, at OCES (508) 584-1561 ext. 312.
