CBC Youth Wrestling finishes season in fine fashion

Champion Building Champions Youth Wrestling sent over a dozen wrestlers on March 15 & 16 to compete in the New England Wrestling Championships.  The two day tournament was held in North Andover and it was filled with the best youth wrestlers in our region.

All wrestlers competing in the New England Championships have earned their way there by competing & placing in previous State tournaments.

Two CBC kids wrestled their way to the New England Finals. East Freetown's Shaymus MacIntosh a 3X Mass Youth Wrestling Champion looked to continue his winning ways by taking an earlier match in overtime to make it to the finals.  Unfortunately he fell short losing to Connecticut's Blake Chapman by points in the finals.

Mansfield's William Stratton placed 3rd at the 2014 Mass State Championship but was not satisfied with his performance.  During the practice time in between the State tournament and the New England Championships "Slick Willy" as he is called by his coaches & teammates worked on just that being slick.  Stratton had his best tournament of the year earning a major decision 10-2 over Vermont"s State Champion Leo Calvin in the semi finals.  In the finals Stratton lost his match against Tyler Sung of New Canaan CT.  Sung is a National Champion and is currently ranked 5th in the country for his weight class.

We want to congratulate all of our wrestlers who competed in the New England's .
