5 Things: Nickeloden Performer to Deliver shown, A Night With Avery Williams

1. Nickelodeon's awarding-performer Mike Bent will be performing "Readers of the Lost Book" at the Quest Garden from 5:30-6:30 p.m.  He searches the ruins of an ancient temple for a priceless artifact-an overdue library book.

2. Mother Goose will be making an appearance at the main library at 10 a.m. Tuesday. The program is free for two and under.

3. Avery Williams is presenting a "Literary Evening with Avery Williams" Tuesday from 6:30-7:30 p.m. The event is free. It features jokes, toasts and poems. Audience participation is encouraged.

4. Children races will be held at Frothingham Park Thursdays at 6 p.m. The event is for ages 2-12. In case of rain, the races will be cancelled. Call the recreation department's cancellation line at 508-238-3084.
5. Was that Dr. Michael Dern sitting right behind the New York Yankee dugout during Saturday's game at Fenway Park? Dr. Dern or someone who looks very much like him, was seen on camera after a very smart boy convinced a Yankee coach to throw him a baseball while he was wearing a New York cap. As soon as he got the ball, he switched back to his Red Sox hat.
