2. Easton FD to Hold 9/11 Remembrance

Today at 9:45 a.m., the Easton Fire & Rescue Department will conduct a respectful remembrance honoring all those who were killed in the attacks on the World Trade Center, at the Pentagon, and on the aircraft at Shanksville, Pennsylvania on September 11, 2001.  Nearly 3,000 people were murdered on that day and we especially remember the 343 FF of the FDNY, 24 NYPD officers, 37 PAPD. Also as a part of the September 11 remembrance, we will remember the members of the armed services who have given their lives in the war against terrorism.

3. Bulk Item Pick-Up Week on the Horizon

The week of September 17 is bulk item pick up week for Waste Management subscribers. Bring one bulk item to the curb on your normal trash pickup day. Click here for a list of accepted items.

4. Raising Financially Responsible Children

Today at Ames Free Library beginning at 6:30 p.m., this seminar focuses on helping parents teach their children the value of money and how to become financially responsible adults. The content is simple, easy to understand, and most of all, parents will get it!
