3. Primary Elections Are Scheduled for Thursday

Easton residents are reminders that election day for State Primaries is Thursday, Sept. 6. Voting will be at . Below is a message from Town Clerk Jeremy Gillis relating to election day traffic:

Due to a mix of scheduling issues, this will be the first election held on a Thursday in Massachusetts since 1988.  It is also  the first week of school in Easton.  In an effort to reduce traffic congestion during bus drop-off/Start of the School day, and during pick-up/end of school day, I am requesting that if voters can avoid the times of 7-7:30 AM and 2-2:30 PM IF POSSIBLE, it will greatly reduce wait times to vote and allow buses/parents to drop off/pick up quicker as well.

If you can notify your voters that if they  can vote at different times during the day, it will greatly enhance their ability to get in and vote and get out in a timely fashion.  Of course if they need to vote during those times, we will make their experience as efficient as possible.

As a reminder the deadline to apply for an absentee ballot is tomorrow @ 12 noon.
