5 Things You Need to Know September 6 in Easton

A look at what is happening today.

1. Primary Elections Are Scheduled for Today

Easton residents are reminders that election day for State Primaries Today! For an overview of candidates, . Voting will be at between 7 a.m. - 8 p.m. Below is a message from Town Clerk Jeremy Gillis relating to election day traffic:

Due to a mix of scheduling issues, this will be the first election held on a Thursday in Massachusetts since 1988.  It is also  the first week of school in Easton.  In an effort to reduce traffic congestion during bus drop-off/Start of the School day, and during pick-up/end of school day, I am requesting that if voters can avoid the times of 7-7:30 AM and 2-2:30 PM IF POSSIBLE, it will greatly reduce wait times to vote and allow buses/parents to drop off/pick up quicker as well.
