New Look to Oliver Ames Football Schedule

This isn't your father's Oliver Ames football schedule or even your older brother's. 

When the Tigers take to the field in the fall, they will be looking at entirely different schedule as the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association has a new playoff structure and has reorganized the divisions.

Oliver Ames is the same division as rival Stoughton and Milford from the Hockomock League in Division 3 Southwest, while Sharon is in Division 3 Southeast. In the Davenport Division, Foxborough and Canton are both in Division 4 South. 

For the rest of the Hockomock League teams, King Philip, Mansfield and Taunton are in Division 2 South, while Attleboro and Franklin are in Division 1 South.

Another change is there will be two games against Sharon, home and away (on Thanksgiving Day. The first night game in the series could be Friday, Oct. 11.

And teams will play seven games before the playoffs. If teams don't make the playoffs, there will have other games scheduled to fill the amount of games.

OA will open up the regular season Thursday, Sept. 12, against Hingham in a 4:30 p.m. start. The next week, they will play their first away game at Pembroke, Friday, Sept. 20, at 7 p.m.

After that, it will be the series of Hockomock League game before the playoffs start.

Friday, Sept. 27-Foxborough, 7 p.m. (Game could be moved to Saturday, because of Triple E.)

Friday, Oct. 4-At Stoughton, 7 p.m.

Friday, Oct. 11-Sharon, 7 p.m. (Game could be moved to Saturday, because of Triple E.)

Friday, Oct. 18-at Milford, 7 p.m.

Friday, Oct. 25-Canton (Game could be moved to Saturday, because of Triple E.)

Friday, Nov. 1-TBA

Friday, Nov. 8-TBA

Friday, Nov. 15-TBA

Thursday, Nov. 28-at Sharon, 10 a.m.
