Easton Voters to Decide on $5.5M Depot Street Land Buy Monday

Easton's annual Town Meeting is set for Monday at 7 p.m. at Oliver Ames High School.

One of the items voters will decide on spending $5.5 million on a 156-acre parcel of land on Depot Street. Officials said the space would be divided into 32 acres of recreation space and 115 acres of open space. About 10 acres would be reserved for possible municipal use.

If the town has no money why are even considering buying land for recreation.....this is crazy when we are told we need one more Policman....and the roads are a shambles that desperatly need repair.....etc.etc. forget recreation.....

The town would be crazy not to buy that big of a piece of land for such a cheap price otherwise it would have been condos
