Unity Church Welcomes a New Minister & Begins a New Church Year

(Easton, MA – September 1, 2013) The Rev. Kristin Grassel Schmidt joins the history of Easton by becoming the 22nd minister since 1855 at Unity Church of North Easton (Unitarian Universalist).

Kristin grew up attending Cedar Lane Unitarian Universalist Church in Bethesda, Maryland and earned a B.A. in music from McDaniel College. She received a Master of Divinity from Wesley Theological Seminary in 2010.

Kristin served the Bay Area Unitarian Universalist Church in Houston, Texas as Intern Minister and at King's Chapel in Boston, the online Church of the Larger Fellowship, and he First Parish in Milton, Massachusetts.

She enjoys singing, cooking, canning, watching hockey, and talking theology with her husband, Christian, who began his own ministry with First Parish in Malden this August. Kristin and Christian recently moved to Malden with their toddler, Chester James ("CJ") and orange cat, Grady.

Rev. Grassel Schmidt is very excited about getting to know the congregation at Unity Church and the Easton community. She looks forward to her first service on Sunday, September 8 and welcomes everyone to join in the Water Communion at that service.

All are also welcome to join us for Social Hour immediately following the service, from 11:30am to 12:30pm in the Parish Hall. Unity Church of North Easton is handicapped accessible.
