FEPG Fire & Ice 2014!

Love your landscape, love your history, love your family and love your neighbor.  Love your food, love your drink, love your romance and love your lover.  In the words of Henry David Thoreau "the only remedy for love is to love more"...

The winter landscape is not to be overlooked as a wonderful opportunity to fall in love and celebrate the growing excitement of civic pride.  Because everyone "loves" to party - we hope you will join the Friends of Easton Public Gardens as we "count the ways" in the first ever Fire and Ice Valentine's Day Stroll.

This memorable and unprecedented night is presented by the Friends of Easton Public Gardens as they hope to raise public awareness and appreciation for the beauty of the Town of Easton's exclusive landscape heritage - including the work of venerable Frederick Law Olmsted that shaped the grounds of Oakes Ames Memorial Hall and adjacent Rockery Memorial Cairn, as well as the formal inspirations of Winthrop Ames rescued and featured at Queset Garden behind Ames Free Library.  Formal gardens have provided the perfect setting for sculpture and statuary for generations.  This year's featured ice sculptures are generously funded by silver sponsor Bank of Easton and proudly displayed in cooperation with Ames Free Library.  Designed by premier artisan Don Chapelle of Brilliant Ice, they promise to impress both young and old admirers.  The sculptures will be on display throughout the week following the stroll so be sure to stop by with friends and family at your leisure.

FEPG thanks The Farmer's Daughter, Bank of Easton, Rose Hill Gardens, Allegra Design & Print, Morse Insurance, Oakes Ames Memorial Hall, Churchill Linen Service, Nelson Cruz Entertainment, Oliver Ames Jazz Band, Kathy Tempestoso, Lisa Olsen, Baynes Electric Supply Company, Hilliards House of Candy and Ames Free Library.
