Harvest Some Family Fun at NRT!

Sheep Pasture - childhood home of Elise Ames Parker and gift to the Town of Easton.  Natural Resources Trust - born through the vision and stewardship of a community dedicated to protecting their landscape heritage.  October 6th 2013 - the 40th Anniversary NRT Harvest and Craft Fair, set to recharge, reward and revitalize the love of family, friends and that's right, you guessed it - agriculture!  New England prides itself on its glorious bounty; from wintery wonderlands through soulful springs, sultry summers and absolutely AWESOME autumns!  This autumn is no exception as we turn our attention and enthusiasm to the beauty of the landscape, the vitality of the earth and the tempting excitement of chilly mornings and sunny afternoons.  We can't resist playing outside, we can't resist opportunities to spend time with family and friends and we surely can't resist the urge to PLAY WITH OUR FOOD!
Call your parents, round up the kids and meet your friends at 307 Main Street, North Easton!  Celebrating 40 years of education and entertainment, they've raised the bar to new heights this year with exciting new kids' ag-tivities, live entertainment, hand-made crafts and more food than you know what to do with!  Try your hand at turnip bowling and if you beat those pins - try the heavier pumpkin bowling!  Seed sack races get everyone's heart pumping and if they leave you looking for bragging rights - jump in and see which school will emerge victorious in the Easton School Giant Tug of War!  Zucchini racers will be burning more veggies than rubber and Compost Collision Tomato Bumper Cars will leave you craving more than nana's sauce.  Agricultural Literacy got you stumped?  Stop by the Jaycees Big Red Barn on the hill and check out what Easton's students are doing to bring agriculture into the classroom and their classroom outdoors.  Mrs. Potato Head's Project Runway is seeking that special spud to be crowned King or Queen and the baked goods, ohhh... I'm hungry already!  Special tickets will be offered in conjunction with Langwater Farm where the O'Dwyer family is unveiling the town's first official Meadow Maze!  Live music, unique hand-crafted wares and Farmer's Row will keep you moving and Easton Grange 196 can't wait to remind us just who are the finest growers in the area!  Three days and counting - I just can't wait!  See you at the fair!
