The American Legion Poppy Drive this weekend, Friday May 18th and Saturday May 19th, stationed at Roach Bros Plaza - Dunken Donuts both locations
North Easton Village shops and 5 Corners.

Lots of good deals! Some vendors include; Tastefully Simple, Premier Designs Jewelry, Tupperware, and many hand crafted items!

Why Go?:

The Easton Lions Grange Charitable Thrift Shop is open every Wednesday from 10-2 and Saturdays from 9 to 3. We are located at the intersection of Rt.138 & Elm St, next to the Union Villa. Your donations are tax deductible.

New used inventory coming in all the time. We are loaded for bear. Dining sets, end tables, couches, chairs, patio sets, glassware, prints, paintings, tools, collectibles, jewelry, nick-knacks, books, toys, bikes, records, clothing, baby things, household items, and an endless count of usable items by the many hundreds. Everything is priced to move and everyone can dicker. No reasonable offers refused.

Where/When: Yardley Wood RinkSaturday 10 a.m.

Why Go?

The Easton Lions Club will hold a combined Canoe / Family Fun Day on Saturday May 19th from 10 am to 5 pm at the Yardley / Wood Rink at in South Easton. The Rink ( available for free ice skating in the winter) is at 338 Depot Street ( Route 123) next to the Easton Center School. ( Rain date is Sunday the 20th). Refreshments, including Hot Dogs, Popcorn, Ice Cream, Soda and Water will be available. There will be many activities including a  Moonwalk  and Canoes and Relay Races and the Easton Fire Dept. will have a Fire Truck for kids to check out/climb in (and spraying water on kids in the Back Field - weather permitting!) ; Face Painting and Temporary Tattoos by Creative World Children’s Learning Center ( locally owned by a Lions member); HUGGS2 will be there; Crafts booths; Balloons by North Easton Savings Bank; Pre-school the Learning Ladder will be there also; the American Legion will have Flags; and more!! Many other community groups will have booths. Free Booth space still available. This event is Free to the public, thanks to the help of North Easton Savings Bank ,Signs By Tomorrow, Roche Brothers Supermarkets and Folan Waterproofing and Construction. Why Go?:

Maplewood Day Camp & Enrichment Center will host a Family Fun Day on Saturday, May 19, 2012 to support the DJ Dream Fund, a scholarship fund founded in memory of local Easton athlete Danroy Henry, Jr. (DJ) that helps local students in need participate in wellness programs, summer camps and athletic activities. The event will take place at Maplewood’s 30-acre site and feature a variety of activities include boating, family canoe races, rock climbing, gymnastics, face painting, a football obstacle course, a 3 on 3 basketball tournament, field sports, moonwalks and zumba. Tickets for the event, which include all activities and lunch, are $10 per individual or $30 per family of up to six members. All proceeds will support the DJ Dream Fund. Why Go?:

There will be a fundraiser for Brian Edlund and Family on May 19th at the Covenant Congregational Church located at 204 Center Street North Easton, MA 02356. 

There will be a Cribbage Tournament beginning at 2:00 P.M. which will be a $10.00 buy-in per player. If you prefer to play with your own board/cards, feel free to bring them along.  Prizes to First, Second, and Third places.

There will a Dinner at 5:00 p.m. Tickets are $25 per person with children under 5 free.  There will be a silent auction, movie and activities for the kids and some all-around good fun.

Why Go?:

The Oliver Ames Softball teams will be hosting a car wash this Sunday,May 20th, from 10-3, at both Bank of Easton locations, 12 Robert Dr. and 275 Washington St.
Donations will help support the Booster Scholarship Fund,  upgrade equipment and team apparel.
