Dennis P. Gibson, 69, Lived in Easton For Past 12 Years

Dennis Paul Gibson Sr., 69, of Easton, died at New England Sinai Hospital in Stoughton on Thursday after a lengthy illness. Son of the late James and Irene (Moir) Gibson, he was born in Quincy, raised in Quincy and Braintree and graduated from Braintree High School, Class of 1961.

He raised his family in Brockton for 30 years before moving to Easton 12 years ago. Mr. Gibson was a plumber with the Local 12 for 41 years before retiring 8 years ago. He enjoyed fishing and playing golf but his greatest joy was spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Mr. Gibson leaves his children, Tracey A. Chiang and her husband Hung of Stoughton, Dennis P. Jr. and his wife Sharon of Easton and Brian S. and his wife Kristen of Attleboro, as well as his grandchildren, Andrew and Molly Chiang and Carly Gibson. He also leaves his siblings James E. of Canton and Barbara J. of Braintree. He also leaves his former wife, Madeline E. Gibson, several nieces and nephews.

The Funeral service was held at Quincy Point Congregational Church, 444 Washington St., Quincy, MA 02169 on Tuesday at 10 a.m. Visiting hours was held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rte. 27), Stoughton on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. Interment will be private.
